Manufacturer Warranty Information

At Hegemon Supply, products we sell are backed by the original manufacturer’s warranty, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Warranty coverage and service are provided by the manufacturer and may vary by brand, model, and usage (residential vs commercial).

Important: Most manufacturers require proper installation, normal intended use, and maintenance per their instructions. Unauthorized repairs or modifications may void coverage.

General Warranty Terms (Applies to All Brands)

  • Warranties typically apply to the original purchaser only.
  • Coverage begins on the date of original purchase.
  • Product must be properly installed, used as intended, and maintained per the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Service must be authorized by the manufacturer to be covered.
  • Labor, shipping, installation costs, and consequential damages are often not covered unless the manufacturer states otherwise.

Hegemon Supply is a reseller and does not provide independent warranties unless explicitly stated.

Summit Appliance / AccuCold / Summit Commercial 1-year parts & labor; refrigerators/freezers: 5-year sealed compressor coverage
  • 1-Year Limited Warranty on parts and labor (most major appliances).
  • Refrigerators and freezers include an additional 4 years on the sealed compressor (5 years total).
  • Certain models (including select ranges, wall ovens, cooktops, and Ariston laundry) carry the manufacturer’s warranty (typically 1 year parts and on-site labor).
  • Service issues must be directed to Summit/FSI; service not assigned by Summit/FSI may not be covered.
  • Warranty is generally valid only in the contiguous U.S. (lower 48 states).

Infratech Patio Heaters: Manufacturer limited warranty (terms vary by model and application)

Infratech patio heaters are covered by the manufacturer’s limited warranty. Warranty terms vary by model and application (residential vs commercial).

  • Installation must follow Infratech’s published guidelines to maintain coverage.
  • Improper installation, misuse, or lack of maintenance may void warranty coverage.
Sunglo & Sunpak Patio Heaters: (Infrared Dynamics)Residential: 1-year parts-only • Commercial: 90-day parts-only • Original owner only
  • Residential (Home Use): 1-year parts-only limited warranty.
  • Commercial Use: 90-day parts-only limited warranty.
  • Applies to the original owner only.
  • At manufacturer’s option, the heater may be rebuilt or replaced during the warranty period.

Not Covered

  • Labor/service calls for diagnosis, removal, or reinstallation.
  • Shipping/delivery charges for defective parts or heater (and replacement shipments).
  • Permits or installation materials.
  • Normal wear (oxidation, scratches, batteries, etc.).
  • Damage due to improper installation, misuse, negligence, electrical issues, gas supply interruptions, fire, flood, earthquake, or intentional damage.
  • Any product purchased over the Internet (manufacturer policy).

Key Conditions

  • Heater must be installed by a competent/qualified contractor and per installation instructions and industry practices.
  • Written permission is required for returns; returns must be prepaid.

  • 3-Year Limited Warranty on the burner assembly (only).
  • Applies to defects in materials or workmanship and typically to the original purchaser.

Not Covered

  • Labor, service calls, installation, and shipping/freight charges.
  • Components other than the burner assembly.
  • Improper installation, misuse, lack of maintenance, or electrical/gas supply issues.

Warranty coverage requires installation and operation according to Sunstar’s published instructions.

Kason & Other OEM Replacement: Parts Coverage for manufacturing defects; excludes normal wear and improper installation

OEM replacement parts (such as hinges, latches, and hardware) are generally covered against manufacturing defects.

  • Does not cover normal wear and tear.
  • Does not cover improper installation or misuse.
  • Commercial-use products may have limited or parts-only warranties depending on the manufacturer.

Open-Box, Scratch & Dent, and Clearance Items

Unless otherwise stated, open-box, scratch-and-dent, and clearance items may be sold as-is and may not include full manufacturer warranty coverage. If you have questions about warranty eligibility, please contact us before purchase.

How to Request Warranty Service

  1. Locate your model and serial number.
  2. Have your proof of purchase available.
  3. Contact the manufacturer directly using the information above.
  4. Do not schedule service without manufacturer authorization (coverage may be denied).
